In 1664 the Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation in England opened its first school, Shaare Tikvah - Gates of Hope. Today Naima continues the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish traditions and education for the children of 2018.
In 1983 Rabbi Dr Abraham Levy OBE, Spiritual Head of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation, founded the Naima Jewish Preparatory School, the first Sephardi school to be opened in England in 100 years.
The school prides itself on very high standards of both a Secular and Jewish Education.
As a result of their passion and attitude to growing with the times, Naima JPS approached Jewish Interactive to help raise the bar yet again, by securing a partnership. There intention, to be a beacon school for others, helping to lead the way with an integration of Jewish learning and technology.
Over the last 6 months Ji have been working closely with the Naima Jewish Studies staff, training and guiding them how to create fresh and engaging, 21st Century resources for their curriculum. Teachers have been assigning students digital homework and creating assessment resources using Ji Tap.

“We want to lead the way and share with others.”
Naima is a professional school that wants to make a difference, not only to their community but to Jewish schools around the world. It is a hope that through Ji Tap and the Jewish Interactive partnership, many Jewish children will benefit from the efforts made through this unique project.
